We provide all types of dentistry for all of the family, and offer a full mouth diagnostic assessment with x-rays, which will be taken to detect any issues under, inside or between the teeth.
A treatment plan with dental health advice will then be provided, and we will discuss your dental care with you – whether it is a simple filling or advanced full mouth reconstruction. We involve you in all decisions about your treatment and make sure that everything is fully explained, providing written estimates and we work at a pace that suits you.
Teeth which are decayed or broken can be rebuilt with fillings. Amalgam (silver) fillings have traditionally been used but at No.65 we only use composite (white) filling material. They provide a better alternative as they look more natural and are long lasting.
A visit to our hygienist or therapist can help remove stains from coffee, tea or smoking. In addition they will be able to show you brushing and flossing techniques that you can use at home. Our hygienist and therapist can advise you on the best methods of plaque removal to help prevent gum disease and dental decay. This way you can avoid fillings, maintain fresh breath and help keep your teeth for life.
We put a strong emphasis on preventative treatment. Regular check ups and hygiene visits increase the likelihood of preventing problems in the first place. Effective hygiene is vital in order to keep your teeth and gums in optimum condition.
On your arrival for your dental examination we will ask you to update your medical history and discuss the health of your teeth and gums. We will ask if you have any particular issues or concerns and carefully check the health of your teeth, gums, tongue, lips and cheeks.
We will look for the presence of any plaque and examine the health of your jaw bone. X-rays will be taken to detect any issues under, inside and between the teeth. A treatment plan with dental health advice will then be provided.
Teeth that are very broken, infected or decayed may need extracting. Dental extractions are normally done with a simple local anaesthetic. We offer sedation if you are very anxious, see our anxiety free dentistry page for more info. We will advise you on how to fill the gap which is left after the extraction.
